This Privacy Policy explains how Steplee (“we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and protects your information when you use the Steplee app and related services (the “Service”).
When you use Steplee, we collect: an anonymous user identifier (via Supabase), a first name you choose, a profile photo or avatar if you add one, your daily step count, your step goal if you set one, couple and group memberships and invitation codes, non-sensitive analytics events, and subscription or purchase information managed via Apple, RevenueCat, or Superwall.
We use your information to provide the Service (sync your steps, display leaderboards and widgets, manage group memberships), handle subscriptions and in-app purchases, respond to support requests, and improve the app through non-sensitive analytics.
Steplee reads your step count from your device’s motion and activity APIs (such as Apple HealthKit) with your permission. Your daily step count is then synced to our servers so your partner or group members can see your progress and compete with you in real time.
Your step count and your partner’s or group’s step counts are displayed in the app, on home screen and lock screen widgets, and in leaderboards. This data is updated throughout the day as steps are synced.
We do not sell your data, run targeted advertising, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes.
The Service uses the following third-party services: Supabase (database and user authentication), RevenueCat (subscription and purchase management), Superwall (paywall and subscription display), Apple App Store and StoreKit (in-app purchases and payment processing), and Umami (privacy-friendly analytics). Each of these services has its own privacy policy governing the data they process.
Your data is stored for as long as you use the Service. To request deletion of your account and data, contact us at support@steplee.app. We will process your request as required by applicable law.
Steplee is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes take effect when posted on this page.
